Aperture

Terms of Use

Last updated 17 October 2026

Aperture is a private, invitation-only media service run by one person for family and friends. It is not a business and nothing here is for sale. These terms set out what you can expect from it and what it asks of you.

1. Access

Accounts are by invitation and approved by the owner. Your sign-in is for you alone: please don't share your sign-in links, paired TV codes or account with anyone else. If you think someone else has access to your account, tell the owner.

2. Personal use

Aperture is for personal, non-commercial viewing at home and on your own devices. You agree not to:

3. Content

Films, series, channels, artwork and descriptions belong to their respective owners. Aperture doesn't claim any ownership of them and gives you no rights in them. Titles and channels can appear, change or disappear at any time. Artwork and descriptions come from public databases such as TMDB and may be incomplete.

You're responsible for making sure your viewing is lawful where you are.

4. Privacy

Aperture keeps only what it needs to run:

Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers or used for anything other than running Aperture. There are no ads and no tracking cookies. Ask the owner at any time and your account and viewing history will be deleted.

5. Availability

Aperture is a hobby project, provided “as is”. It may be slow, interrupted or taken offline for maintenance or updates, sometimes without notice, and features may change or be removed. Every effort is made to keep it running well, but no level of service is promised.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the owner isn't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Aperture or from it being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.

7. Ending access

You can stop using Aperture whenever you like, and ask for your account to be removed. The owner may suspend or remove any account at any time, for example if these terms aren't followed.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Aperture after a change, the updated terms apply.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
